| Membership is is by invitation only, and open only to ladies who drive pairs of light horses or ponies to pleasure/sporting carriages.
Please contact us if you wish to be considered for membership. There are no dues or fees.
Our members is bound by the following:
- Clothing is "going to tea" attire. Fashionable hats are de rigueur for both driver and guests. Drivers will wear gloves and use a lap robe while
driving. Aprons belong, by rights, to coaching and competitive driving.
- Vehicles are to be park or sporting carriages of the type that would have been driven by a lady. Antiques are preferred, and may be of either American or British or
European ancestry. Reproduction of vintage carriages of the 1880's and 1900's are also acceptable.
- Harness is to be light horse traditional leather with traditional brass fittings.
Full collars are preferred; however, breast collars are acceptable.
- Pairs may be of any breed of light horse or pony.
Our members host spring and fall drives through the hunt country of Northern Virginia.
Members are welcome to share photographs and stories of their pleasure and exhibition drives.
